I'm a recently retired IT professional. Before IT, I mostly worked in foundry, mining and manufacturing jobs.
I grew up in the Midwest, mainly, and moved to the Pacific Northwest (PNW) over 30 years ago, with my wife Kathryn. Kathryn grew up in the PNW.
I caught the pottery and ceramics bug over a decade ago, and have only recently turned 'serious' about making ceramics my real job. So much for retirement!
I like the science side of pottery, ceramics, glazing. I like the art side. I like the history side. I like the community of ceramic artists.
